Mistake in perception

Often we make a mistake in perception.......
things which seem the closest are distant and vice-versa.
I am smiling. But is it genuine? Can you make out? 
It may either be a real one or a plastered smile. 
I hope YOU do not mistake my fake smile
for the real one (or vice versa)!
